HUNGRY, an Arlington-based food tech company, is hosting a free food drive-thru event for anyone in the DMV-area who needs a hot, healthy meal. After the difficult year we’ve had, the community is in need more than ever, and HUNGRY wants to do their part to ensure no one goes hungry.

Details below:

  • What: HUNGRY will be donating 6,000 meals to food insecure community members in the DMV-area with their meals via wheels drive-thru event; Each car/vehicle that attends can receive up to 10 hot meals. They are making this event as contact-free as possible, to keep HUNGRY staff and recipients safe. These meals will be freshly prepared in Arlington kitchens by local HUNGRY chefs.
  • When:1:30-3pm EST, Wednesday January, 27, 2021
  • Where: Central United Methodist Church Parking Lot; 4201 Fairfax Dr. Arlington, VA 22203
  • Why: Food insecurity impacts every community in the United States, and with the COVID-19 pandemic, vulnerable communities are struggling to get access to healthy, affordable meals. HUNGRY is tackling the challenge head on by giving away 6,000 chef-prepared meals to those who need it most. HUNGRY has consistently been donating meals throughout the pandemic– notable partners like Kevin Hart., Atlanta Falcon Todd Gurley , and Seattle Seahawk Bobby Wagner have donated meals to vulnerable families, healthcare workers and first responders on the frontlines in their respective hometowns.
