Aggravated Sexual Battery Charge Filed Against Arlington Man
Arlington County detectives arrested an Arlington man in connection with a December 2019 sex offense involving a child.

ARLINGTON, VA — Detectives with the Special Victims Unit of the Arlington County Police Department arrested Playford Ray Resh, 40, of Arlington, in connection with a 2019 sex offense involving a child, according to a news release.
Around 5:12 p.m., on Dec. 10, 2019, ACPD officers were dispatched to the 300 block of S. Irving Street for the report of an assault. They determined three children were walking in the area when a man began to follow them. He then grabbed a female victim's buttocks and pulled her toward him, according to police. The victim pushed herself away and yelled for help. The man then ran away before police arrived.
Special Victims Unit detectives identified Resh as a suspect after they conducted an investigation of the incident, including reviewing witness interviews, crime scene evidence, and tips from the public. Police arrested Resh on Thursday evening in the 3300 block of Wilson Boulevard, and charged him with aggravated sexual battery.

He is being held without bond at the Arlington County Detention Facility.
