Arlington Coronavirus Update: No New Deaths; 12 Additional Cases
Virginia Department of Health confirmed 12 additional cases Thursday in the Arlington Health District.

ARLINGTON, VA — As of Thursday morning, 167,527 doses of COVID-19 have been administered in the Arlington Health District and 68,018 people have been fully vaccinated, according to the Virginia Department of Health. Statewide, 6,093,967 doses have been administered and 2,550,627 people are fully vaccinated.
Arlington residents 16 and older are now able to directly schedule their own appointments to receive a free COVID-19 vaccination. To book an appointment at one of Arlington's public health clinics, visit the county's website or search for an appointment at nearby locations by searching VaccineFinder.org.
VDH confirmed 12 additional cases of COVID-19 Thursday morning in the Arlington Health District. That's about half the 25 reported on Wednesday. The total number of positive cases reported in the county stands at 15,057.

No new deaths connected with COVID-19 were reported in the Arlington Health District, according VDH. The total number of deaths related to COVID-19 remains at 252. To date, 829 people have been hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Arlington.
The positivity rate of COVID-19 testing in the Arlington Health District remains at the lowest level in months. VDH reported that a total of 261,568. COVID-19 tests have been taken in the Arlington, with a 4 percent positivity rate.

Arlington's positivity rate has been steadily declining since it peaked at 13.4 percent on Jan. 2. Statewide there have been 9,199,905 COVID-19 tests taken, with a 5.5 percent positivity rate.

There have been 65 outbreaks of COVID-19 in the Arlington Health District. There have been 28 outbreaks at long-term care facilities, 18 in a congregate setting, one at a correctional facility, four in health care settings, six at a child care facilities, one at a college or a university, and seven at a K-12 facility. The total number of cases associated with an outbreak is 1,089. There have been 357 reported coronavirus cases in Arlington involving health-care workers.
There have been 658,341 total cases statewide, according to data reported by the Virginia Department of Health. In Virginia, there have been 10,751 coronavirus-related deaths to date. There have been a total of 28,351 hospitalized COVID-19 patients.

Globally, more than 149.7 million people have been infected by COVID-19, and over 3.1 million people have died, Johns Hopkins University reported Thursday morning. In the U.S., more than 32.2 million people have been infected and over 574,000 people have died from COVID-19.
