Arlington Police Host Valentine's Day Pet Supply Drive

Local police are hosting a Fill The Cruiser Event in support of the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.

ARLINGTON, VA — Valentine's Day isn't just for human lovers, it's also for puppy lovers as well. At least that's what one of the Arlington County Police Department's four-legged officers thinks.

FRK9 Brooks and Community Resources Section are hosting a pet supply drive to benefit the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, which runs the county's animal shelter and control services.

The Fill the Cruiser Event will take place Friday, Feb. 12, from 2-5 p.m. A contactless, drive-thru donation station will be available outside AWLA's headquarters, along the 2600 block of S. Arlington Mill Drive. Officers will be available to receive donations for the donator's vehicle. For those wishing to make a donation by foot or bike, a separate area will be available.
