Carjacking, Abduction Charges Filed Against Alexandria Man
Delonte Hall of Alexandria is accused of taking a ride-share vehicle from its driver at knifepoint and driving off with a passenger inside.

BALLSTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested 27-year-old Delonte Hall of Alexandria in connection with a carjacking and abduction that occurred early Tuesday morning in the Ballston area, according to a police release.
Officers were dispatched around 7 a.m., for the report of an armed robbery in the 900 block of N. Stafford Street. Police learned that a ride-share driver had stopped for a fare and Hall entered the vehicle along with the passenger. Realizing that Hall was not a passenger, the driver asked him to leave. In response, police say Hall produced a knife and demanded the driver hand over the vehicle. Once the driver exited the vehicle, Hall drove off with the passenger inside.
The officers located the vehicle traveling near Washington Boulevard at N. Pershing Drive, where they began a pursuit. With the help of the Virginia State Police, the vehicle was stopped at the intersection of S. Glebe Road and Meade Street. Police took Hall into custody and the passenger was uninjured.
