The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory Saturday that remains in effect from 5 a.m. until 12 noon.

The Advisory notes that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore of the Potomac River and Washington Channel. Morning high tides for the Washington Channel are 10:13 a.m. and for Alexandria they are 10:31 a.m.

- Widespread showers in the morning...then numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 70s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
- Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Lows in the mid 60s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
