Exit Ramp From Eastbound I-66 To Lee Highway Closed Overnight

Vehicles trying to reach Washington Boulevard/Lee Highway will be diverted to Westmoreland Street Tuesday night.

ARLINGTON, VA — Work crews from the Virginia Department of Transportation will be closing the eastbound ramp from I-66 to Washington Boulevard/Lee Highway (Exit 69) Tuesday night, as part of the I-66 Eastbound Widening Project.

The section of road is scheduled to be closed Tuesday, from 9 p.m.-5 a.m., to allow work crews to conduct roadway striping and barrier repositioning.

Prior to the closure, VDOT will be diverting traffic to stay right on Westmoreland Street. Drivers will then turn left at the stop sign onto Fairfax Drive, and then continue right on Fairfax Drive to reach Lee Highway. Drivers can expect possible delays and are asked to use caution.
