Traveler Reports Rude Service By Airline Workers At DC Airport

Crowds of other passengers were in the same boat as Kevin Thompson and his family Thursday night. When they got to what they thought was their gate at Reagan National Airport, Thompson asked an airline employee if it was the correct gate. "I don't have time to talk to you or the interest to talk to you. You can go figure this out yourself," the airline employee said.

Virginia's COVID-19 Case Average Rises After Hitting Pandemic Low

Virginia has seen an increase in its seven-day moving average of COVID-19 cases over the past several days, even as its state of emergency expired at midnight on Wednesday. On Friday, the state's seven-day moving average was 182 cases per day, an increase from a 128 case average on June 20, a record low since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

Possible Tornado Causes Widespread Damage Across NoVA, DC Area

A strong thunderstorm may have produced a tornado in Falls Church and Arlington Thursday night before crossing the Potomac River into Washington, D.C., according to the National Weather Service. One injury was reported to the National Weather Service in Arlington as a tree fell on a home.

McLean Remains Targeted Area For Recent Fairfax Co. Car Thefts

Fairfax County Police continue to look into a string of car thefts that have taken place since the beginning of June around the county. But authorities reported on Friday that the majority of the incidents have taken place in McLean. Of the 27 car thefts that have been reported, 15 have taken place in the McLean district, police said.

July 5 Busiest Day For Prince William County Animal Shelters

When Prince William County residents break out the fireworks, bottle rockets and Roman candles to celebrate the upcoming 4th of July holiday, local animal shelters will be bracing for what usually ends up being the busiest day of their year. More pets go missing July 4-5 than any other days of the year, according to the American Kennel Club.
