ICYMI: Rosslyn Hotel Sold for Stunning $51.8 Million
Le Meridien had been purchased for just $37.8 million in 2012.

The Le Meridien hotel in Rosslyn has just sold for a whopping $51.8 million.
Real estate investment trust Carey Watermark Investors 2 snapped up the property at 1121 19th Street N, paying $336,363 per key, according to a Washington Business Journal report.

It turned out to be quite a good investment for the previous owner, HEI Hotels & Resorts, which purchased the property in 2012 for $37.8 million.
Rosslyn has gone through an explosive real estate boom in recent years, which no doubt helped the sale of Le Meridien, one of the crown jewels of North Arlington.

The hotel will keep the Starwood brand Le Meridien despite the change in ownership, according to the report.
HEI will remain as manager after the sale of the hotel, which is currently being renovated.
