Make Mother’s Day Brunch, Dinner Reservations Now In Arlington

More eateries in Arlington may be open for Mother's Day 2021, but it's a good idea to reserve a spot now. Others offer pickup deals.

ARLINGTON, VA — Everything Mom has done over the past year of the coronavirus pandemic should add up to an extra-special 2021 Mother’s Day celebration on Sunday, May 9. To start her the day off right, how about taking Mom to her favorite Arlington brunch spot?

Many restaurants and eateries are still limiting seating, so making a reservation early is especially important this year. And if you’re still undecided about going to a sit-down restaurant, curbside pickup or delivery is an option in many places.

  • Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, located at 2231 Crystal Drive, 11th floor, in Arlington, offers a prix fixe family meal for four that includes its signature Surf & Turf (a 6-, 8- or 11-ounce filet paired with buttery cold water lobster tail); a Caesar or steak house salad; and a choice of two from a list of sides that includes garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, steamed broccoli or sweet potato casserole; and a mini cheesecake.
  • McCormick & Schmick's, located at 2010 Crystal Drive in Crystal City, is offering a three-course Mother's Day Weekend special on May 8-9.
  • Tupelo Honey, located at 1616 N Troy St. in Arlington, offers scratch-made southern foods for brunch every Saturday and Sunday until 4 p.m.
  • The Liberty Tavern, located 3195 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington, services brunch every Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • FYVE Restaurant, located in The Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City at 1250 S Hayes St., serves breakfast daily from 6:30- 10:30 a.m.
  • Copperwood Tavern, located at 4021 Campbell Ave. in Arlington, serves brunch every Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m .-4 p.m., with specialty fare, such as Bananas Foster French Toast and Shrimp n' Smoked Gouda Grits.
  • Green Pig Bistro, located at 1025 N. Fillmore St., Suite D in Arlington, is open for brunch every Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m., with menu highlights like Smoked Norwegian Salmon Benedict and Huevos Rancheros.
  • Bonefish Grill, located at 1101 S. Joyce St. in Arlington is offering its Mahi & Shrimp family-style meal for five that includes a choice of salad and family-style sides of mashed potatoes and vegetables, bread with pesto and a dessert duo of cheesecake and cookies.
  • Barley Mac, located 1600 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington, is serving up brunch specials like the Cordon Blu Omelette and the French Dip Benedict for brunch every Saturday and Sunday, from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

But again, call ahead for reservations; some of your local favorites may be closed on Mother’s Day so the moms who work there can have a day off with their families.
