Man Tries To Force Way Into Woman's Home In Arlington: Police
Police have arrested a man after they say he tried to break into a woman's Arlington home.

ARLINGTON, VA — A man tried and failed to break into a woman's home in Arlington over the weekend, police say.
Police were called to the 1100 block of N. Vernon Street at around 6:41 p.m. on Sept. 15 to a report of a suspicious person, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"[T]he victim was inside her residence when she observed the male suspect allegedly approach the door to the residence and attempt to force entry, causing damage," the report states. "The suspect attempted to flee on foot prior to police arrival."

Police found the suspect -- 63-year-old David Coleman of Arlington -- in the area and arrested him on charges of attempted burglary, possession of burglarious tools, and destruction of property, the report states. He is being held without bond.
