New Target Store Open For Business In Ballston
Target had a soft launch Wednesday morning for its new small-format store on North Glebe Road in Ballston.
ARLINGTON, VA — Target had a 7 a.m. "soft launch" Wednesday for its new small-format store in Ballston. The nationwide retailer will be celebrating the official grand opening of its 49th store in the greater Washington, D.C. area on Sunday, at 8 a.m. The new store is located at 740 N. Glebe Road.
Target has been introducing small-format stores in urban areas across the country, typically in dense suburban neighborhoods and near college campuses, where a full-size store wouldn't necessarily fit. The new store will cater to residents of the Ballston area, providing a quick-trip shopping experience. It also provides employment for more than 120 team members.
The new store, which takes up about 41,000 square feet, offers apparel and accessories for the whole family, as well as home décor, health, personal care and beauty products. Shoppers can grab-and-go groceries and fresh produce. In addition, the store boasts an assortment of adult beverages and a CVS Pharmacy. Customers can also order items online to be picked up within a few hours at the store.
