Pet Of The Week: 2 Old Bachelor Cats Seeking A New Home

The Animal Welfare League of Arlington is helping Dillon and Shane, two 14-year-old neutered male cats, to find a new home.

ARLINGTON, VA — Dillon and Shane are two 14-year-old neutered male cats who came to the shelter when their owner sadly passed away. They have lived together their entire lives, so we want to keep them together in their new home. Both cats are easy-going, nap-loving boys who enjoy belly rubs and snuggles. Shane is a little sprier than his brother, Dillon, and likes to play with his toys when he gets a burst of energy!

Unfortunately, both cats are dealing with some senior medical issues that mean we are unsure how long they have left. Dillon was recently diagnosed with lymphoma, and Shane has both heart and kidney disease. They both are on medication to help manage these chronic conditions and doing very well. We are looking for a family who can keep them healthy and comfortable for as long as possible.

If you have any questions about Dillon and Shane, you can email the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.
