ARLINGTON, VA — Meet Tucker, a lovable, 37-pound, mixed-breed dog who will steal your heart away, according to his foster family. They also say he's a good boy and know how to "sit" and "stay." Treats motivate Tucker — did someone say Scooby snacks? — and he loves to learn new things.

The Animal Welfare League of Arlington is helping Tucker to find a his forever home. Maybe you're the right person to rub his belly or take him on long walks.

"Tucker is very friendly with other dogs and loves people but he is a bit timid when it comes to meeting hyper dogs. He also takes a little while to get settled in his crate for bed so he needs someone with the patience to help him calm down. Tucker is house-broken and very good on the leash."

Now that the Arlington County Animal Shelter has reopened for in-person visits, why not schedule an appointment to visit Tucker during adoption hours.
