Pet Of The Week: Let Bruno Steal Your Heart

Bruno's active-duty military dad had to go overseas and didn't have anyone to take care of him, so now this lovable pup is up for adoption.

ARLINGTON, VA — Nine-year-old Bruno immediately stole the hearts of all the the staff members and volunteers at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. Will he steal your heart as well?

Bruno came to us when his active-duty military dad had to go overseas and had no-one to care for Bruno while he was gone. He told us: “Bruno is a lover, fantastic road trip companion, loves belly rubs, and kisses on his head. He'll come and lay his head on your shoulder if you're lying on the couch. I lay on the floor with him for cuddles (he loves that). French fries are his favorite (I get him his own $1 menu side and feed him 3 at a time).”

Bruno is a low-energy, affectionate guy who loves belly rubs and tug-of-war. He likes to play with his toys but spends most of his time curled up on a soft blanket, napping the day away. He is house and crate-trained, and knows several basic cues. Bruno does need to be the only pet in his new home, but with Bruno in your life, he’s all you need.
