Pet Of The Week: This Tuxedo Cat Is Ready To Strut Her Stuff
Arriving at the rescue with a broken leg, Chrissie is now cast-free and is looking for someone with whom to share her bounding energy.
ARLINGTON, VA — Despite the fact that she's a tuxedo cat, there's nothing formal about Chrissie. This gorgeous, 8-month-old girl has been growing by leaps and bounds in foster care, according to the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. S
Chrissie is a real sweetheart who's good at reminding her foster mom when she needs to be petted. She will happily climb on her foster's chest or lap to get her snuggles too.
Here's what AWLA says about Chrissie:

"Chrissie came into foster care with a broken leg, which was able to be surgically repaired, and spent most of her first 6 weeks in a large splint unable to do any running or jumping. Now that her splint is off and her leg is on the mend, she is exploring her ability to do all the zooms, particularly enjoying kangarooing across the bed and leaping onto the shelving unit below the window, where she spends many hours bird watching …a nd waking her foster mom up each morning by yelling that THERE ARE BIRDS!! Chrissie was named after the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team's Crystal Dunn who suffered an ankle injury in 2019's championship game of the National Women's Soccer League and, after recovering, returned as a star of the USWNT's defense. We know that our little Chrissie has the same bright future ahead of her!
"Chrissie would do best in a calm home. Although she is very confident and snuggly when she settles in, she can be easily startled and will sometimes retreat to her favorite safe space under the bed if startled. Patience, pets, and lots of treats will win her over, and her foster mom can assure you that your dedication will be well rewarded. Chrissie previously lived with other cats but has not met any other pets while in foster."
