Rewind: Pricey Falls Church, Clarendon Trolley Pub, Capital Bikeshare

Craving a hamburger? If Fuddruckers is your thing, you’ll have farther to go. The Fuddruckers restaurant on Duke Street in Alexandria shut down Tuesday night for good, leaving no locations in Arlington or Alexandria. The restaurant still has locations in Washington and Fairfax.
Also in Alexandria, the city’s Traffic and Parking Board recently approved five on-street parking spaces in Old Town that will be made available for lease to carsharing companies, while one parking space in Del Ray remains under discussion. The Alexandria City Council approved a carshare policy in January that allows the city to lease on-street parking spaces to interested companies on basis of qualification.

In Del Ray, the Potomac Yard Metro Station Project has met with a delay. Project planners say the setback will provide time for better community outreach.
Arlington-based Allbritton Communications Co. announced Wednesday that it is exploring the sale of television stations in seven markets, including WJLA and NewsChannel 8. Chairman Robert Allbritton said that the shift away from television will allow the company to focus more on Politico, which it also owns, and similar ventures, according to the Huffington Post.

Meanwhile, the Clarendon Trolley Pub launched as pub-crawl vehicle. The Trolley Pub started making its way through the streets of Arlington this weekend — but the business model is a little bit different than originally planned.
Arlington Trolley Pub owner Kai Kaapro told Patch, "Our first weekend was fantastic. Our tours all had a great time and we were very pleased with the route and the support we've gotten from local businesses."
In the Washington area, a Daily Key membership is now available from Capital Bikeshare, allowing occasional users to access stations quicker and easier than the current day pass allows. Now infrequent riders can buy a $10 key, which will include a single one-day membership, and each additional day the key is used the user will be charged $7. The goal is to remove obstacles to use.
Nearby, a new report by Forbes shows that the city of Falls Church is wealthier than Fairfax County. With a median household income of more than $117,000, the city is one of the wealthiest municipalities in the United States.
That places Falls Church second on its list of the 10 richest cities or counties in the United States — above surrounding Fairfax County, which places fourth.
