Scuba Accident Claims Life of Arlington Public Schools Administrator: Reports
Kathleen Meagher, 53, was Arlington Public Schools' director of Secondary Education.

ARLINGTON, VA — Friends, family and colleagues are mourning the loss of Kathleen Meagher, director of Secondary Dducation for Arlington Public Schools, after she died Tuesday, Dec. 15, in a scuba accident in the Caribbean, according to reports by the Washington Post and Mercury News in California.
Meagher, 53, moved to the DC area last year from California, where she was a school administrator in Palo Alto. She was also a former principal, assistant principal and teacher there.
Meagher was a resident of Washington, D.C., where she lived with her partner, Ann Dunkin. She is also survived by her parents, Richard and Joan Meagher, of Foster, Calif.; sister, Sharon Meagher, of Philadelphia and brother, Rick Meagher, of Sacramento.

A memorial mass for Meagher is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Dec. 28 at Church of the Nativity, 210 Oak Grove Ave., in Menlo Park, Calif.
