Trauma Victims Receive Home Makeover With Help From Nonprofits

Arlington, VA — Nonprofit Hearts of Empowerment is working with The Oasis Alliance, a non profit dedicated to enhancing the recovery experience for trauma victims. They perform interior home makeover and design for the victims’ homes. This effort is intended to assist in brightening up the outlook and relationships that these individuals have with new living spaces.

Hearts of Empowerment is contributing its fundraising capacity to supply furniture and home accessories. This program was promoted to shelters and community centers as a way to identify individuals and families that are appropriate candidates. The application process has been completed through both organizations. Now, staff from The Oasis Alliance and Hearts of Empowerment will work together to perform the design overhaul and installation alongside mental health coaches and volunteers. The selected families are appreciative that this program seeks to enhance a very important part of their recovery process:
