Metro Delays, Track Work for Veterans Day Weekend
Metro's weekend track work schedule will impact the Yellow, Blue, Red and Orange lines.

Metro's weekend track work schedule will impact the Blue, Yellow, Orange and Red lines for the Veterans Day Holiday weekend of Nov. 8 - 11. Work begins at 10 p.m. Friday and continues through system closing Monday.
There is no scheduled work this weekend on the Green Line.

RED LINE
Buses replace trains between Shady Grove and White Flint from 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 through closing Monday, Nov. 11; Normal service between White Flint and Glenmont.
- Free shuttle buses will replace trains between Shady Grove and White Flint. Buses will operate on two routes:
- Express buses will run between Shady Grove and White Flint with no intermediate stops. Allow 20 minutes of travel time.
Local buses will run between Shady Grove and White Flint with intermediate stops at Rockville and Twinbrook. Allow 10 minutes of travel time for each station stop.  For example, a rider traveling from Rockville to White Flint should allow 20 minutes because the bus makes two stops.

Stations Closed:Â Shady Grove, Rockville, Twinbrook
Work Performed:Â Crews will continue NTSB-recommended track circuit replacement and improve track infrastructure, including installation of new ties, fasteners, insulators and cover boards.
ORANGE LINE
Orange Line trains will operate every 20 minutes from 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 through closing Sunday, Nov. 10.
On Veterans Day, additional trains will operate between Vienna and Stadium-Armory between 6:30-9:30 a.m. and 3:30-6:30 p.m.
Work Performed:Â Reconstruction of the station platforms at Minnesota Ave. and Deanwood stations will continue, along with tie renewal, insulator renewal and structural improvements.
Travel Tip: Before traveling, consult the trip planner at wmata.com to check the special schedule and reduce your wait time. You will experience the additional wait time on the platform. Once your train departs the station, it is not expected to encounter additional delays en route.
BLUE LINE
Blue Line trains will operate every 20 minutes from 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 through closing Monday, Nov. 11.

All trains will run between Huntington and Mt Vernon Square only.  For service north of Mt Vernon Square, please use Green Line trains.
