WETA Showcases Local Choir Organizations in New Holiday Special

A special one-hour episode of the WETA Arts series entitled Washington Voices: Songs of the Season premieres December 15th at 9:00pm on WETA PBS, celebrating the Washington, D.C. region's large and vibrant choral scene with a selection of 15 previously recorded performances from 12 local area organizations.

Children's Chorus of Washington artistic director Margaret Nomura Clark initially approached WETA with the idea to showcase choirs from around the Washington Metro area in a local television special. Collaborating with other choral organizations and WETA Arts producer and choir enthusiast Judy Meschel, a WETA Arts special consisting of curated performances taped between 2006 and 2020 was created for broadcast on WETA television channels this holiday season.
