What's Open, Closed For Labor Day 2020 In Arlington

As the unofficial end of summer approaches, here are the service changes to know for the Labor Day holiday.

ARLINGTON, VA — Summer may have looked different this year because of the pandemic, but Labor Day is still the time to bid the season farewell before pools close and kids start classes. In Arlington, there are various closings and schedule changes to know for the holiday

On Monday, Sept. 7, all Arlington County government offices, courts, libraries, and facilities will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Below are the schedule changes to know for the Labor Day holiday around Arlington:

Transportation

  • ART – Sept. 7: ART 41, 42, 45, 51, 55 and 87 will operate on Sunday schedules. All other ART routes will not operate and the ART customer call center will be closed. July 4: ART 41, 42, 45, 51, 55, 77 and 87 will operate Saturday schedules. All other ART routes will not operate.
  • STAR – The Call Center will be closed Sept. 5-7. To book STAR trips on those days, please contact the Call Center no later than Friday, Sept. 4.
  • Metrorail operates on a Sunday schedule on Monday, Sept. 7. It will be open from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m.
  • Metrobus operates on a Sunday schedule on Monday, Sept. 7. Visit www.wmata.com for more details on specific routes.
