Wine, Sweets and Outdoor Movies Each Tuesday This Month in Crystal City

Sip delectable wines, sample scrumptious chocolates and sweets and enjoy a movie under the stars this coming Tuesday and every Tuesday in September thanks to the Crystal City Screens & Sips & Sweets outdoor film festival.

"There is no better place to meet friends, bring a picnic, and enjoy an evening under the stars," say event organizers.

Movies will be shown every Tuesday evening about 30 minutes after sunset on the lawn at 1901 S. Bell Street. Movie-goers are encouraged to bring a picnic or get take-out from area restaurants. In addition, a pop-up wine bar (cash only) will serve hand-selected offerings from the Crystal City Wine Shop, and Crystal City's own Schakolad will serve sweet samples.

Here are the schedule of wine-and-chocolate-themed movies for the next several Tuesdays:

Sept. 6: "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)" starring Gene Wilder

Sept. 13: "Bottle Shock (2008)" starring Chris Pine, Alan Rickman, Bill Pullman

Sept. 20: "Chocolat (2000)" starring Johnny Depp, Juliette Binoche

Sept. 27: "Sideways (2007)" starring Paul Giamatti, Thomas Haden Church
