WMATA Seeks Input On 2nd Entrance Crystal City Metrorail Station
WMATA and Arlington County are seeking input on a plan to add a second entrance to the Crystal City Metrorail Station.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County and Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority are seeking the public's input on adding a second entrance to the Crystal City Metrorail Station.
A second entrance would increase capacity at one of the busiest stations in the county. It would also help accommodate more riders in one of the fasting growing areas of the county.
The second entrance is being considered for the east end of the station, near 18th Street S and Crystal Drive. This location would provide easier access to Crystal Drive and both the VRE Metroway transit stations. The second entrance plan also includes elevator upgrades, improving compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and making access to the elevator more convenient. The second entrance would also serve as an additional emergency exit for the station.
