2 Teen Suspects Apprehended for Fatal Stabbing in Ashburn: LCSO
An Ashburn male, 17, and Herndon male, 16, have been taken into custody in connection with the Nov. 4 fatal stabbing and assault in Ashburn.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Two suspects, a 17-year-old from Ashburn and a 16-year-old from Herndon, have been identified by detectives and apprehended in connection with the November 4 fatal stabbing and assault in Ashburn, Va., according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO).
Deputies say that a 17-year-old from Ashburn was apprehended in New York on November 9. He is currently being held in New York on an extradition warrant on a detention order out of Loudoun County for aggravated malicious wounding. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
Loudoun Detectives have also identified a 16-year-old from Herndon, Va. as being involved in the attack. He was taken into custody on November 10 and is being held in Fairfax County, Va., on an unrelated charge. Charges in connection with the Loudoun County investigation are pending.

The name of the teenagers cannot be released due to the fact they are juveniles.
The investigation continues and detectives are working to identify any additional suspects.

The two suspects were apprehended in connection with the November 4 fatal stabbing of Guillermo Piedra-Espinoza, 22, of no fixed address and the stabbing of a 19-year-old Ashburn male near the Ashburn Meadows apartment complex.
Piedra-Espinoza was found deceased in a wooded area. The 19-year-old was taken to local hospital where he was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time it appears the victims of the assault were targeted and there is no indication there is a threat to the community.
The LCSO is working with the Northern Virginia Gang Task Force and utilizing federal and other regional resources to investigate the case, according to the LCSO.
