6 Family-Friendly New Year's Events in Loudoun

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA - Are you looking for a family-friendly New Year's Eve event to bring the children? Here are a few options, including a run/walk in Ashburn, New Year's Eve party in Purcellville and several countdown events for children at area libraries. Other options include fun events hosted by local businesses: laser tag, bubble wrap stomping--and a glam make-over party.

Reservations are required for the below events and may sell out. Be sure to contact each organizer for details, including possible cancellations, changes, etc.

5K/10K Run/Walk:

• Ringing In Hope: A New Year's Eve Celebration Run/Walk, Ashburn. By participating in this event, you can help Life With Cancer meet the challenges of those living with cancer by providing patients and their loved ones with education, information and support, free of charge, no matter where they live or receive treatment. You can even Run/Walk on behalf of a loved on by participating in their name.

New Year's Eve Party:

• Franklin Park Arts Center, Purcellville. (All ages) Ring in the New Year with a family-friendly celebration featuring entertainment by Fizzical Fairy Tales and Magic By Ryan, party favors for everyone, refreshments and simple party crafts, photo booth and more. Then countdown to “midnight” at the end of the party — and parents can still get home in time to watch the festivities in Times Square.

Loudoun County Public Library Events:

• "Count Down to Noon" New Year's Eve events will be held at Ashburn Library, Lovettsville Library, Rust Library and Sterling Library.

Laser Tag:

• Laser Nation's New Year's Eve All Night Party, Sterling. 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Play unlimited laser tag all night. Watch the ball drop on the big screen TVs. Safe, supervised, alcohol-free. Drop off the kids - parents are not required. Free food buffet included at midnight. The perfect party for all ages. Contests with prizes. $29.99.

Bubble Wrap Stomping:

• Monkey Joe's, Dulles. Noon Year's Eve event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ring in 2016 at Monkey Joe's "Noon" Year's Eve Bubble Wrap Stomp Event. Noise makers, 2016 glasses and other giveaways while supplies last.

Glam Make Overs:

• Sweet and Sassy, Leesburg. "Noon Year's Eve" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come enjoy a great time and kick off the New Year. Party includes glam makeovers with super fun New Year's Eve up-dos, a runway fashion show to the greatest hits from 2015, ride in the pink limo and a balloon drop countdown to Noon Year's Eve. $35 a guest.
