Access To Lexington Drive From Rt. 7 In Loudoun Co. To End

Access to Lexington Drive from Route 7 will end Oct. 7 after Loudoun County officials decommission a traffic light at the intersection.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Access to Lexington Drive from Route 7 (Harry Byrd Highway) will end Oct. 7 with the decommissioning of the traffic light at the intersection, Loudoun County officials recently announced. The traffic light is expected to be taken out of service following the morning rush hour.

Motorists traveling along Route 7 mid-day on Oct. 7 should expect minor delays while the signal is being decommissioned and access to Lexington Drive is eliminated. The date of the project is subject to change based on weather.

The work will result in detours for Lexington Drive traffic accessing east and westbound Route 7. Motorists will be rerouted to the Ashburn Village Boulevard and Route 7 interchange. Following the intersection's closure, access to the Blue Mount Nursery will be via Riverside Parkway/Lexington Drive from Ashburn Village Boulevard.
