Alleged DUI Driver Slams into Parked Vehicles in Sterling: LCSO

The driver of a vehicle crashed into park cars in Sterling on Saturday, Sept.4 at 3:25 a.m. and then fled the scene, according to the LCSO.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A driver of a vehicle crashed into park cars in Sterling on Saturday, Sept.4 and then fled the scene, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO).

Deputies say they responded to the scene in the 600 block of W. Nettle Tree Road in Sterling at about 3:25 a.m. after receiving a call that a vehicle that crashed into parked vehicles and then fled the scene.

The vehicle and the driver were located near the intersection of Maple Ave.

The driver was identified as Mauricio E. Jovel-Carranza, 21, of New Bedford, MA.

Jovel-Carranza was arrested and charged with DUI and two counts of Hit and Run.

He was released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a secured bond, according to the LCSO.
