Free Community Skating Event on Tuesday, January 29

The Ashburn Ice House is celebrating National Skating Month with a FREE skating event on Tuesday, January 29 from 3:30 – 5 p.m. at 21595 Smith Switch Road in Ashburn. Skates will be provided at no cost to all participants. Complimentary group skating lessons will be offered at 3:30, 4 and 4:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. Ice space is limited to 200, so come early!
The goal of National Skating Month, now in it’s 18th year, is to increase awareness of and participation in U.S. Figure Skating programs. U.S. Figure Skating is comprised of more than 750 member clubs, collegiate clubs, school-affiliated clubs and more than 1,000 registered Learn to Skate USA programs representing more than 191,700 members.
“If you’ve never skated before but have always wanted to, this free community event is a great opportunity to give skating a try,” said Rob Lorenzen, General Manager, Ashburn Ice House. “We’d love to see you on the ice on the 29th, grab a friend or bring your whole family.”
