Ashburn Resident Rudy Fenner Sings to Benefit Charities
Songs will benefit St. Ann's Center, World Central Kitchen and The Himalayan Cataract Project
Washington, D.C. native and Ashburn, VA resident, Rudy Fenner has released two singles: holiday season favorite “Mary Did You Know” and “Hold Us Together” to benefit three nonprofit organizations.
Fenner, who has been a worship leader in area churches for several years, says that the music will benefit charities that work the front lines every day to support people who are in need. A portion of the proceeds from the singles will benefit:
- St. Ann’s Center for Children, Youth and Families, works to strengthen families on their journey toward stability by providing housing, life skills, education, employment counseling, childcare and education.
- World Central Kitchen (WCK) leads emergency food response teams in times of disaster in America and throughout the world. They help to provide fresh, nutritious meals to those who are impacted, and work with local leaders to implement training programs, advance food, and environmental health, and improve food security.
- The Himalayan Cataract Project works to eradicate preventable and curable blindness in the developing world. Thanks to the doctors and medical professionals involved in this mission a 10-minute $25 surgery can restore sight to the needlessly blind.
Fenner says, “I decided to use my voice to help these organizations because in many cases, charities have not been able to raise the funds that they normally would this year because of Covid-19. The need is great, and it continues.”

A bonus on the website is a video for “Hold Us Together”, created by renowned photographer and photojournalist Christopher Briscoe. Briscoe has accompanied doctors with The Himalayan Cataract Project around the world and documents many of the surgeries that they perform.
Fenner says, “Right now, there is no more appropriate song than “Hold Us Together” because it’s almost all that we have left. Compassion and caring for each other bind us through the storms that we are facing at home and around the world.”
