Ashburn Restaurant Inspections: Violations At Ten Locations
Here are the latest restaurant inspections for locations across Loudoun County.
ASHBURN, VA — Officials from the Loudoun County Health Department inspected multiple food storage and preparation businesses in Ashburn from Feb. 18-22. Several locations were inspected, including ten restaurants with violations.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, many inspections are being conducted virtually. So, the listed violations may not be an all-encompassing rundown of all the violations at a particular establishment.
Violations at restaurants typically focus on factors that can contribute to food contamination. The local health department also performs a re-inspection to ensure that possible violations have been corrected.

For every observed violation, the inspector provides a specific corrective action that can be completed to rectify the violation. Sometimes these are simple, and violations can be corrected during the course of the inspection.
Across the county, the Loudoun County Health Department noted violations at several restaurants during their inspections from Feb. 18-22.

- Date marking not provided for cooked samosa and vegetable pakoras in trays in the walk in refrigerator. Corrected during inspection.

- Roast beef and mac and cheese registered at 46°F in the reach in refrigerator holding at 44°F. Corrected during inspection.

- A jug of milk with a sell-by date of 2/14/2021 and two containers of heavy cream with a sell-by date of 2/19/2021 was found in the walk-in cooler.
- Soil residue was observed inside the ice machine on the interior bin that contained the ice.
- Multiple spray bottles were found with liquid material in them without a label.

- Saffron Rice using time as the public health control was found without a time indicating when it left temperature control, or a discard time.
- Packages of hummus, Shirazi Salad, Dolmeh & Yogurt sauces in the front display case do not have appropriate labels.
