AVFRD : House Fire In Ashburn On May 19, 2021

Earlier this evening during a busy night for both our stations, Engine 606B and Truck 606 were dispatched for a structure fire in Company 23’s area. Units from Ashburn, Loudoun County, and Sterling arrived on scene to find fire through the roof of a home. Ashburn crews pulled a backup hose line and performed a primary search of the residence. Additional units from Leesburg, Arcola, and Fairfax County also responded. The cause is currently unknown and the Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s office will determine it.

Regardless of the cause, we remind everyone to check your smoke detectors and ensure they are in proper working order on every level of your home. If they’re more than 10 years old, replace them.  Please click here for Smoke Alarms Tips and Facts information.
