Bicyclist Allegedly Assaulted Middle School Student: LCSO

A bicyclist allegedly confronted and grabbed a child on the W&OD Trail after crashing because a group of students were blocking the trail.

ASHBURN, VA — A bicyclist allegedly grabbed a middle school aged student on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail after crashing because a group of students were reportedly blocking the trail, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO).

Deputies say a large group of middle school aged students were reportedly on the Washington and Old
Dominion Trail near Trailside Middle School on Oct. 12 around 3:30 p.m.

A third-party witness reported seeing a passing bicyclist crash due to the group being on the trail.

According to several students, the bicyclist confronted and grabbed one of the students before leaving the area.

The bicyclist was described as a White male, approximately 30-years-old. He was wearing black, red and yellow bicycle apparel and had a black helmet. The bicycle was described as being black and white.
