Bomb Threat Directed at Loudoun Republican Committee

A profanity laced bomb threat was reportedly made to the GOP's local executive committee Monday morning, Loudoun County Deputies confirm.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A profanity laced bomb threat was made to the Loudoun County Republican Committee Executive Committee on Monday morning, Oct. 24, according to Loudoun GOP Chairman Will Estrada.

Estrada said he received a telephone call at about 8:48 a.m. from an angry man reading off a transcript. The caller hung up after about 35 seconds so Estrada was not able to record it. He then called the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) to report the incident.

"When the caller called, the very first words he told me were, 'You Nazi [expletive] Republicans, a bomb with your name on it is coming very soon and you won't see Election Day," Estrada said.

The local GOP office subsequently received an e-mail with the same text that the man was reading on the telephone call, according to Estrada.

Estrada said the LCSO advised him not to share the entire email.

"The call and e-mail rattled the volunteers, but the office is still open," Estrada said.

A LCSO spokesperson confirmed that the incident is under investigation.

Two days ago, the Sterling home of a Trump supporter was spray painted with graffiti with a profane word and indecent images, according to Estrada.
