Business Watch: No Food Lion, Make Way for Lily's Lunch Basket
Five things happening in the Ashburn, Va. business scene this week

Busy week? We've got you covered — here are a few scoops from the business scene this week in Ashburn.
1. No, Food Lion's Not Coming to Belmont Greene in Ashburn: There may be food lion trailers in the parking lot, but Food Lion has no plans to re-open the former Bloom store at the Village at Belmont Greene. Food Lion continues to be involved with the lease for the site – Delhaize America is the parent company of Food Lion and the former Bloom chain, which operated the Belmont Greene store – and decided to take advantage of the space while it works on some equipment from other stores.
2. A new lunch spot: Lily's Lunch Basket is a new business in town.
3. We're sorry. It's July. But school is coming: Thankfully, there's a tax free holiday in Virignia to ease the pain. Check out what's on the no-tax list this coming weekend.
4. Another accolade: Hooked Seafood and Sushi Bar was awarded the top prize for its crab cakes at the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce's Taste of Reston.
5. Ashburn Restaurants: Some were clean — and some weren't. Check out all reports in our roundup of Ashburn Restaurant Inspections.
