Diners in Sterling Reportedly Threatened by Knife-Wielding Ex-Con

DIP, concealed weapons charges follow incident in which convicted felon reportedly threatened other patrons.

Responding to a call for man threatening diners with a knife at a restaurant on the 46900 block of Community Plaza Sterling, Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man around 9:30 p.m. Jan. 15.

Officers arrested Jonathan A. Laite-Pourtorab, 21, of Sterling, and charged him with felony possession of a concealed weapon by a convicted felon and drunk in public, according to an LCSO report. He was taken to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and held on a $5,000 bond.
