Driver Charged with DUI After Reportedly Driving Vehicle into Pond
A man who reportedly crashed a car into an Ashburn-area pond Sunday has been charged with DUI and driving without a license.

A Leesburg man was charged with DUI and driving without a license after reportedly driving a car into a pond in Lansdowne Sunday morning.
Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash at a decorative pond in the Lansdowne Boulevard/Riverpoint Drive area in Lansdowne Sunday morning around 7 a.m.
The vehicle was submerged in the water and the driver was located outside the vehicle. The driver reportedly told officials a family member was possibly inside the vehicle. Though no one was located inside the vehicle, a family member was found safe in another location.

The driver, Arturo R. Romero, 46, of Leesburg, was charged with DUI and driving without a license.
