Food For Neighbors Recognizes Riverside Presbyterian Church.
Hunger Is Closer Than You Think

Food For Neighbors (FFN) celebrates the positive impact made by Riverside Presbyterian Church in Sterling, VA. The local congregation generously provided FFN a place to collect, sort, pack, and store food when the nonprofit had to develop new procedures quickly as a result of the pandemic. This allowed FFN to continue its important work of fighting teen food insecurity.
“Having a facility from which to run our Sterling area operations made a huge difference,” shared Karen Joseph, cofounder of Food For Neighbors. “We are so thankful for the generosity of Riverside Presbyterian, and we look forward to our continued partnership.”
Ms. Joseph presented Lisa Farmer, Riverside’s Office Administrator, with a plaque celebrating the partnership. Ms. Farmer was very helpful with coordinating building access and use. Also present were Brian Clark, Co-Pastor, Riverside Presbyterian Church; Helen Dorsey, Director of Finance, Riverside Presbyterian Church; Gary Mears, Lead Missionary, Faith Chapel; and Jennifer Cave and Renee Maxwell, Food For Neighbors volunteers.
