Former Redskins QB Kirk Cousins' Virginia House Sold

ASHBURN, VA — The one-time Virginia home of Kirk Cousins, who left the Washington NFL team after six years for the quarterback spot with the Minnesota Vikings, has sold, a report says. There is no word on the sale price, but the Ashburn townhouse was listed for $515,000, according to Realtor.com.

Cousins signed with Minnesota in March after the Redskins acquired Alex Smith from the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite his apparent disagreement with management and ownership with the Redskins, a relationship that appeared contentious at times, he thanked Dan Snyder, Bruce Allen, and Coach Jay Gruden in a farewell blog to DC.

"Thank you all for the opportunity you gave me," he wrote. "When Cooper someday asks: 'Hey Dad, what was it like playing for the Redskins?' I'll proudly tell him it was a dream come true."

Cousins and his wife, Julie, leased the townhome from retired Redskins player Chris Samuels, who bought the house in August 2000, Inside Nova reports. The couple, with their son, Cooper, and the family dog were occasionally seen walking through the neighborhood last year.
