Giant Food to donate 60K diapers to Northern Va. Diaper Bank
In partnership with the Rotary Club of Ashburn, Giant Food plans to donate 60,000 diapers to Northern Virginia families in need.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Giant Food of Landover, Md., in partnership with the Rotary Club of Ashburn, will donate 60,000 diapers to the Northern Virginia Diaper Bank, a subsidiary of the National Diaper Bank, according to a Giant Food announcement. The public is invited to a ceremonial event on October 25 at 12:30 p.m. at the Shoppes at Ryan Park Giant, 43670 Greenway Corporate Drive, Ashburn.
Earlier this year Giant teamed up with the Rotary Club of Ashburn to stuff 600 backpacks that were donated to Loudoun County Public Schools for the upcoming school year.
The Rotary Club of Ashburn was chartered in 2010 as part of Rotary International, the world’s first service club organization with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary Club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat various issues under their motto “Service Above Self.”

The ceremony will include remarks by representatives from Giant and the Rotary Club of Ashburn and will culminate with an award ceremony where the Golden Diaper Award will be given to the store and cashier who helped secure the most donated diapers on behalf of Giant Food, according to the announcement.
