Giant Food Grand Reopening at Sterling Town Center Set for Nov. 4

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Giant Food will celebrate the grand reopening of the Sterling Town Center Giant on Friday, November 4 at 9:00 a.m. Sterling Town Center Giant Food is located at 21800 Town Center Plaza, Sterling.

The newly-remodeled store will provide customers with improved store departments and features, according to Giant Food, including:

• All-new interior décor and flooring throughout the store
• Newly-relocated floral department at the front entrance of the store
• Newly-renovated market-style produce department with an expanded offering of natural and organic produce, pre-cut fruit, and a new salad and soup bar
• New customer service center, a new 6-register Check It Zone, and added in-store technology “SCAN IT!”, which will allow customers to scan and bag their groceries while they shop
• New full-service seafood department featuring a four-foot lobster tank
• All-new natural food department with 22 doors of natural frozen foods
• New shelving throughout the grocery, wine, general merchandise, and health and beauty care departments to showcase an enhanced selection of products
• Newly-designed deli featuring an 18-foot gourmet cheese case with olive bar and new 16-foot grab-and-go cases
• Newly renovated meat department featuring a new gourmet service meat case
• Fully-renovated bakery where customers can enjoy fresh-baked products, including a variety of artisan breads and items from a new muffin cart, bagel bin, and bread bar

During the grand reopening, Giant Food announced that it will make a ­$2,500 donation to Cornerstones, a nonprofit organization that promotes self-sufficiency by providing support and advocacy for those in need of food, shelter, affordable housing, quality childcare, and other human services in Northern Virginia.

The grand reopening celebration will continue through the following two weekends, featuring:

• Friday, November 4 from 3 - 7 p.m.: DJ, sampling kiosks and a popcorn machine
• Saturday, November 5 from 12 - 4 p.m.: Samplings of beer with opportunity for customers to receive free, customized-engraved keepsake glass; food and beverage samplings
• Sunday, November 6 from 12 - 4 p.m.: Sampling of beer with an opportunity for customers to receive a free, customized-engraved keepsake glass
• Saturday, November 12 from 12 – 4 p.m.: Food and beverage sampling; Free health screenings for glucose, cholesterol, and blood pressure
• Sunday, November 13, 12 – 4 p.m.: Free health screenings for glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure
