Groundbreaking Planned On Seneca Ridge Drive Project In Sterling

STERLING, VA — The public is invited to attend the official groundbreaking for a project slated to improve Seneca Ridge Drive in Sterling. The ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. Oct. 30 at the corner of Augusta and Seneca Ridge drives in Sterling.

Planned road improvements on Seneca Ridge Drive are expected to ease traffic for area residents and schools, including Meadowland Elementary School, Seneca Ridge Middle School and Dominion High School. Work will take place along Seneca Ridge Drive between South Cottage Road and Augusta Drive to reduce congestion and improve pedestrian safety.

The project also includes widening the roadway, adding a turn lane and improving drainage. Additionally, the project calls for the installation of curb ramp upgrades, and new pavement markings and signage in compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.
