Hit-and-Run Driver Crashed into Moped in Sterling: LCSO
The public's help is needed with information about a hit-and-run crash on 10/20 during which a SUV crashed into a moped and fled the scene.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A hit-and-run driver fled the scene after crashing into a moped, causing the victim to be thrown off, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO).
Deputies say that on Thursday, Oct. 20 LCSO responded to the area of Sterling Blvd and Frederick Drive in Sterling in reference to a property damage accident.
The victim was operating a moped traveling north on Sterling Blvd when a white or grey SUV made a right turn on a red light from East Frederick onto Sterling Blvd.

The vehicle struck the moped, causing the victim to be thrown off the moped.
The striking vehicle fled the scene, north on Sterling Blvd.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
