How To Get The Coronavirus Vaccine In Loudoun County
Here are details on where the coronavirus vaccine is available in Loudoun County, and how residents can get it.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — The Loudoun Health Department has spent the first months of 2021 administering the coronavirus vaccine to as many residents as possible. However, supplies are limited, and many residents are left wondering when and how they will receive the vaccine.
In Loudoun County, 59,572 people have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine. 30,441 people are fully vaccinated, according to the Monday's data published by the Virginia Department of Health.
However, there are 35,394 Loudoun County residents who are on the vaccine waitlist, the Loudoun County Health Department said on March 5. That number decreased by more than 11,000 from the previous week's report.

Where to get the vaccine in Loudoun County
Vaccine clinic locations are subject to change based on vaccine availability, the eligibility of residents, and the number of doses allocated by the state and federal governments. Currently, the Loudoun Health Department operates its own vaccine clinic, and several pharmacies in the area offer vaccines through a partnership with the federal government.
For now, all vaccinations in Loudoun County are available by appointment only; no walk-ins are accepted.

Who is eligible?
Virginia is currently in Phase 1b of their vaccine rollout plan. Eligible groups include healthcare workers, essential frontline workers, people aged 65 and older, and those with underlying medical conditions.
To register for the vaccine, residents should sign up for the state's pre-registration list. Anyone can pre-register for the vaccine, regardless of their current eligibility. The Loudoun County Health Department pulls from the state's list to schedule vaccine appointments.
