Kenneth James Deggs, 44

Kenneth James “Shrek” Deggs of Ashburn, Virginia, died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Inova Fairfax Hospital, from brain injury complications, at age 44.

Ken was born August 5, 1970, in Madrid, Spain, the beloved son of Francis Paul Deggs and Patricia Ann Deggs. He was a devoted husband to Gail Deggs and loving father to their two beautiful children, Moira and Travis Deggs. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Steven and Marcella Daigle, Dorothy Batiste and Papa Joe. He is survived by his brother Michael and sister Angela Deggs.

As a Vice-President at DDC Public Affairs, he selflessly devoted much of his time to mentoring young people, enriching and changing their lives. He is remembered with love by his niece, Dana Deggs, step-children Lauren Webb, Gary Bacon, grandson, Kyrie Crichton, and many other family & friends and his beloved dogs.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, February 10th from 10am until a service to begin at 11am at ADAMS-GREEN Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA. Following the service, attendees are invited to join us in celebrating Ken’s life over dinner at Amphora Diner Deluxe 1151 Elden Street in Herndon, VA. Interment will be private.
