LCSO Investigates Hit-and-Run of Pedestrian on Algonkian Parkway Monday
A pedestrian running in the Lowes Island area Monday morning was reportedly hit by a vehicle that fled the scene.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a vehicle involved in the hit-and-run of a runner in the Lowes Island area Monday morning.
An adult male was running in the Algonkian Parkway area around 8 a.m. Monday when he attempted to cross Great Falls Forest Drive. The victim was struck by a vehicle attempting to turn right onto Great Falls Forest from Algonkian Parkway. The car reportedly slowed but left the scene and turned right onto Birmingham Court before traveling back onto Algonkian Parkway.
The car is described as a newer white 4-door sedan of unknown make and model, possibly a Toyota or a Honda. The car may have possible damage to the right side front passengers door.

The victim suffered minor injuries and returned home before contacting authorities.
