Local Brewers Hosting Event to Benefit Missing Children

4 Loudoun craft breweries are among the businesses to host an event to benefit the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children on 12/3.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Five local craft breweries, a Richmond craft brewery and a local restaurant are banding with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children for a “Hops for Hope” event to raise awareness and funds during the holiday season to help bring missing children home and stop child sexual exploitation.

Lead by Ocelot Brewing Company, the brewers will offer “Hope Beer” from Dec. 3 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. or until it runs out, according to a National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) announcement.

A barrel equaling about 54 kegs of the beer, an IPA, was brewed by Ocelot with ingredients donated by Country Malt Group and BSG Craft Brewing. All proceeds from the limited-run beer will be donated to NCMEC.
