Loudoun County Farm Tour App Launched

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Are you headed out to attend the 2016 Loudoun County Fall Farm Tour this weekend, Oct. 15-16? If so, for the first time, there is a mobile app to make your experience even better!

In celebration of Loudoun's thriving agricultural community, 56 farms and other venues are participating in the self guided Loudoun Fall Farm Tour. Venues will have special activities for the weekend, including educational exhibits, live music, farm animals, and local foods and beverages.

A map and descriptions of the participating farms and other venues is included in the Loudoun Fall Farm Tour brochure, available at: www.LoudounFarms.org/FarmTour. Or, visitors can use the new app, designed for Apple and Google phones and tablets. The app has functionality to help you before, during and after the Farm Tour events, according to a Loudoun Farms announcement.

Before the Farm Tour: Make your own list of must-see events

During the Farm Tour: Get directions between venues

• Find out how long it takes to get from place to place

• Opportunity to complete a survey about the Farm Tour
