Loudoun County Schools Change Schedule Due To Snow And Ice

The current weather conditions have forced Loudoun County Public Schools to change their planned events on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

ASHBURN, VA — Loudoun County schools are still dealing with last weekend's snowstorm that dumped several inches of snow across the region. The continued weather conditions have changed Loudoun County Public School schedules for Tuesday, Feb. 2.

All Loudoun County Public Schools and administrative offices are closed Tuesday, and all distance-learning classes are canceled. Instructional staff should not report to work.

There will be no food pick-up at LCPS schools and food deliveries by bus have been canceled.

All activities on school campuses have been cancelled. However, the school system did note that certain activities may be permitted after 4 p.m., if weather permits. A final decision will be announced by 12 p.m. on Tuesday.

Student testing is cancelled and the LCPS Vaccination POD is closed. Appointments at the POD for Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, will be honored on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, according to the school district website.

However, the Loudoun County School Board meeting that was planned for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday will go on as scheduled, according to the Loudoun County Public School's announcement.
