LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A new coronavirus vaccine dashboard is available on the Loudoun County Health Department's website. The dashboard provides data from the Virginia Department of Health about the number of vaccines that have been administered, and information for the waitlist in the county.

The vaccine dashboard will update most of the statistics on a daily basis. The number of vaccines administered and received are published by the Virginia Department of Health every day. However, the dashboard's waitlist information will update once a week.

According to the Loudoun County dashboard, there are 10,665 people remaining from the district's original waitlist. On March 5, there were more than 34,000 people on the waitlist.

The county noted that these vaccine waitlist numbers account for people who signed up for the county-specific waitlist prior to Feb. 12. The dashboard does not include residents who registered with the state's list. Those individuals will be added at a later date.

The dashboard also states where the county is in their waitlist. The dashboard says they are now vaccinating eligible individuals who pre-registered on Feb. 2.

In a summary report published on Friday, the county also said that indoor visitation at nursing homes and assisted living facilities was expanded. Under new guidelines from the Virginia Department of Health, indoor visitation is can be permitted for all residents, with some exceptions.

If an area's positivity rate is greater than 10 per cent, and the facility's vaccination rate is less than 70 per cent, than visitation should still be avoided. Loudoun County's COVID-19 positivity rate is 6.1 per cent, according to an update from the health department.

All counties in Virginia are in Phase 1b of the state's vaccine rollout plan. Groups that are eligible for the vaccine include frontline essential workers, people aged 65 and older, and people with underlying medical conditions.

To sign up for the vaccine waitlist, residents can pre-register online, regardless of their current eligibility. Anyone with questions about the vaccine or the waitlist can call the state's COVID-19 hotline at 877-829-4682.
